I designed The Adventure of a Small Ceramic Doll, the new book by author Choi Jung-in, published by BoisForêt. Through the adventure called life, the little ceramic doll reminds us that we are all unfinished beings, still in the process of finding ourselves. That’s how this work felt to me as a designer—my own reflection and interpretation. I can’t help but wonder what other readers will feel. Inside a basket in an antique shop, there is a ceramic doll who dreams of meeting a kind-hearted person. Then, on a rainy day, an unexpected accident sends it tumbling to the floor, and the doll’s adventure begins. What kind of future will unfold for this small doll?
